We are Doula Rose, a mother-daughter doula team called to hold space for the sacred transformation of motherhood—from the first kicks of pregnancy to the raw beauty of birth and the tender unknowns of postpartum.

We believe birth is a holy design, an intuitive process, and a gift from God, meant to be embraced, not feared. Rooted in prayer, trust, and unwavering support, we walk beside you, offering comfort, encouragement, and truth as you step into this calling. You were made strong, made capable, made to bring life into the world—and you don’t have to do it alone.

Holding space for women in this sacred season.

a christ centered approach to birtrh & beyond

For as long as we can remember, we’ve been drawn to the strength of mothers, the beauty of birth, and the sacred transition into motherhood. Our journey into birth work began with a deep desire to nurture, educate, and hold space for women during this profound transformation.

With backgrounds in nursing, holistic care, and hands-on doula support, we walk alongside women with compassion, faith, and evidence-based guidance. Birth is more than a moment—it’s a story, an experience that deserves to be met with confidence, peace, and unwavering support.

At Doula Rose, we are more than doulas—we are advocates, encouragers, and steady hands in the moments that matter most. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or navigating postpartum, our mission is to equip, uplift, and empower you every step of the way.

Let’s embrace this sacred season together.

Christ-centered birth support

a journey shaped by passion and purpose

hey, hi, hola!

Hey, I’m Lizzie — so glad you’re here. I’m a professionally trained doula through DONA International, living in Rochester, MN with my sweet and spicy husband, Isiah, our son Koa, and our two fluffy pups, Lola and Diego. My love for birth, strong mamas, and the miracle of life started long before my training. I’ve always been in awe of the way a woman’s body grows, nurtures, and brings forth life—the way Jesus created it to. Yet, so many women feel lost, unsure, and disconnected from their ability to birth naturally. I believe in empowering you to trust yourself by giving you evidence-based information, unwavering support, and the encouragement to believe that your body was designed for this.

Birth is more than a medical event — it’s a transformation, a sacred design, a reflection of God’s intentionality. My role as a doula is to walk alongside you, reminding you that you are capable, you are strong, and you are never alone. Whether it’s pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, I am here to provide authentic, Christ-centered care with tenderness, compassion, and wisdom—so that you can look back and remember your birth story with peace, confidence, and joy. Let’s trust our bodies, embrace the process, and step into this journey together.

A few things me: Married to her Spanglish-speaking Mexican husband, a proud boy mom to the cutest babe ever, and always on the hunt for the best deal.

A few things about me: I'm a nurse by day, doula by heart, a proud grandma to Koa, and always up for a garage sale, a scrapbook project, and a good cup of coffee.

meet mama lisa

I’m Lisa — wife, mom, grandma, nurse, and now doula. Caring for people has always been at my core. In my day job as a nurse, I’ve spent years supporting others through life’s transitions, but nothing compares to walking alongside women in the sacred season of motherhood. Growing up on a farm instilled a love for nurturing, and now I dream of homesteading—a slower, more intentional way of life. But of all my seasons, being a mom to my three adult children has been my favorite, as I now call them my friends.

As a doula, my heart is to bring a calm, reassuring presence—one that helps you trust your body, your intuition, and the incredible design of birth. I believe every mother deserves to feel heard, supported, and deeply cared for. Whether it’s guiding you through labor, offering wisdom during pregnancy, or nurturing you in postpartum, I am here to walk beside you. And if it’s Saturday? You’ll probably find me scrapbooking, at a garage sale, or sipping coffee—because life is all about the little joys.

sacred stories of support

The birth of our baby was the most intense, exciting experience of my life. Time disappeared, and my only focus was my wife and our baby. I wanted to be everything she needed, but in the middle of it all, I barely thought about eating, drinking, or even catching my breath.

That’s where Lizzie made all the difference. She was there—not taking over, but keeping me steady. She reminded us to eat, to hydrate, and to stay strong so we could fully show up for each other. Her encouragement and presence were invaluable, and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else by our side.

Can’t wait to have her with us again for baby #2!

sacred stories of support

TI never questioned the value of having a doula—I knew the benefits—but finding the right one was the challenge. From the start, Lisa was an answered prayer. Her knowledge, kindness, and expertise in bodywork helped me prepare physically and emotionally for birth.

During my 29-hour labor, she supported both me and my husband—giving him space to rest and helping us work as a team. When I wanted to give up, she reminded me of my strength until I could believe it again. Having her as part of our birth team was one of the best decisions we made—not replacing our experience, but enhancing it. Without a doubt, she’ll be a part of any future births in our family.

"Lisa gave me strength to keep going."

I wasn’t sure if I wanted a doula—I worried it might take away from the support I wanted from my husband. But from the start, Lizzie listened, reassured, and never pushed.

She promised to guide from the background, allowing my husband to be my primary support.
And that’s exactly what she did. She coached, encouraged, and anticipated needs we didn’t even realize we had. She made the experience calmer, easier, and more connected. Looking back, we can’t imagine our birth without her. If you’re on the fence, trust me—having Lizzie by your side will make all the difference.

"Lizzie honored the space we wanted to create."

I was terrified of birth. I had heard so many stories—pain, fear, loss of control—and I couldn’t shake the anxiety of what labor would bring. But from the moment I connected with Lizzie, something shifted.

She never dismissed my fears. She listened, reassured, and walked with me through every emotion—never pushing, only guiding. She gave me the tools to understand my body, the confidence to trust the process, and the support to know I wasn’t alone.

When labor finally began, I felt something I never expected: peace. I wasn’t afraid anymore. With Lizzie by my side, I felt safe, empowered, and fully present in the moment. I look back on my birth with gratitude instead of fear, and I know that’s because of her.

If you’re scared of birth like I was, trust me—you want Lizzie there with you.
